Matthew is a skilled clinician whose approach involves capturing your interest in patterns that may no longer serve you and igniting your motivation for positive change. He combines his knowledge and experiences from working in special education and as a clinician to employ a person-centered approach, incorporating Cognitive-Based Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and experiential therapy. His expertise extends to ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and depression as well as academic and special education support, collaboration, and advocacy.  When Matthew is not in the therapy office he can be found in the psychology department at COD, sparking the minds of college students and future clinicians.

Her therapeutic focus is client-centered, meaning that in your sessions you are the expert on your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. It is Sarah’s hope to support you and help deepen your understanding of your individual experiences and how they have shaped you into the person you are today. Tiera creates a comforting environment where individuals and families can build on their  strengths to reach their full potential.  Tiera works with individuals of all ages but specializes in children, teens and the family systems.  Family work is often focused on identifying cycles, strengthening family bonds, and creating new healthy patterns.  Together you will strengthen your parenting skills and reveal your child’s potential.  While you are on your journey you will engage your mind and body to explore new possibilities and make choices that best suit your desired outcomes. Treatment approaches include CBT, DBT, play therapy, and strength based strategies.  Tiera specializes in play therapy, and treating ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Libby has over seven years of experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with emotional, behavioral and trauma-related concerns; couples struggling with conflict, infidelity, and emotional disengagement; and parents struggling to adjust to the different stages of their children and family’s development. Libby strives to create an open, safe, and honest space for clients to feel free to share and work through all the things that are creating struggle and strife in their lives. She believes all people can change at any stage, and feels privileged to join them in their journey.

Jessica Helmin, LCPC


With curiosity and active engagement, Jessica cultivates a safe and nurturing environment for personal exploration and growth. Jessica enters the therapeutic space with a non-judgmental, compassionate approach to support clients in uncovering their unique path toward wellness and healing. She has experience assisting clients with issues surrounding trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-injury, self-acceptance, and identity formation. Joel Tellinghuisen, MA, LPC, 

Joel specializes in working with adolescents and adults during important transitions and developmental stages.  He uses a values-based counseling approach, which helps clients confidently assess their options and make choices as they navigate through life.  This approach provides clients with a solid foundation they can rely on not only in the present  but also in future situations. Joel also assists adults to improve their relationship with their teen children.  He uses developmental theory as a lens to promote healthy communication and interactions between parents and teenagers. Joel has completed his ADHD-CCSP certification, which gives him advanced insight into holistic and evidenced-based treatment strategies for individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) .This expertise allows him to provide comprehensive support and guidance for both adolescents and adults with ADHD.

Another areas of expertise and passion for Joel is working with educators.  Specifically,  he focusses of issues such as burnout, secondary traumatic stress, and educator-student interactions. He understands and validates the increasingly heavy burdens faced by educators and utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviora therapy (DBT) techniques to help educators identify their areas of need.  He also provides tangible strategies and techniques that can be implemented both inside and outside the school setting. 

Joel holds a licenses to practice in both Illinois and Wisconsin, which allows for a continuation of counseling for young adults and families who split their time between these states for college or business.
